Some things:

• They keep showing ads for that girlie movie starring half of Hollywood that was based on a self-help book, and every time I see one I think it looks a little dumber. I still can't believe they made a chick flick out of a SELF-HELP BOOK.

We had Thanksgiving last week out at the home where my grandparents are living, and while the food was mediocre and the elderly were crazy, my grandma and I kicked ass at team Scrabble and my grandpa took a turn for the better. For the past couple days, my dog has been Houdini-ing her way out of our fence and into the neighbor's yard, where she hangs out with their puppies, and I've been trying to find a hole she could squeeze through somewhere, with no luck. The bookstore I work in is set in a great little shopping centre in town, and it's got practically everything you need: bookstore, pancake parlor, hardware store, sporting goods and an Albertsons.
